Skill-Building Buddies: Handling Transitions & Change DVDSkill-Building Buddies development videos were created to meet the needs of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). Skill-Building Buddies programs show kids how to function in relation to other kids to bring about healthy social interactions.In this program, children will learn effective strategies for handling transitions and change. Animated hosts Mikey, Mandy and Marvel cleverly introduce various age-appropriate situations that children face every day in school, at home and in peer groups. Through live-action vignettes, appropriate strategies are demonstrated by children in a clear and explicit way. The strategies are then reinforced through music videos. Skill-Building Buddies programs combine precise modeling with music to create an audio-visual tool that enhances learning, provides motivation and reinforces positive social interaction behaviors. 15 minutes.
